Need help with MnmlTuna? We’re happy to help. MnmlTuna is a musical instrument tuner for guitar, bass, and ukulele, developed by Systhetics Collective. The app uses your device’s microphone to detect pitch and help you tune your instrument.
Tuner Not Detecting Your Instrument?
Make sure MnmlTuna has permission to access your microphone.
On iPhone or iPad, open:
Settings → Privacy & Security → Microphone
and make sure microphone access is enabled for MnmlTuna.
For the best results:
• Play one string at a time
• Keep your device reasonably close to the instrument
• Reduce background noise when possible
• Let each note ring clearly for a moment
• Adjust the microphone gain in MnmlTuna if detection is too weak or overly sensitive
Automatic Detection
In automatic mode, simply play a string and MnmlTuna will detect the note or string for you.
If the wrong string is being selected, allow the previous note to fade before playing the next string, or switch to Manual Mode for direct control.
Manual Mode
Manual Mode lets you choose the string or tuning yourself.
This can be useful when tuning in a noisy environment or when using alternate tunings.
Chromatic Mode
Chromatic Mode detects notes independently of a predefined instrument tuning.
Use it when tuning to a specific note, working with custom setups, or tuning instruments outside the standard Guitar, Bass, and Ukulele modes.
Note Naming Systems
MnmlTuna supports multiple note naming systems.
You can choose between standard English note names such as:
C, D, E, F, G, A, B
and solfège:
Do, Re, Mi, Fa, Sol, La, Si
You can change the notation system from the app’s settings.
Purchases
Purchases made through MnmlTuna are processed by Apple through the App Store.
If you previously purchased MnmlTuna Pro or another eligible in-app purchase and it is not appearing correctly, use the Restore Purchases option in the app.
Make sure you are signed in with the same Apple Account originally used for the purchase.
Privacy
MnmlTuna does not collect personal data.
Microphone audio used for pitch detection is processed directly on your device and is not uploaded or stored by Systhetics Collective.
